What Characteristics Should You Look for in a Realtor?

Today, we’ll discuss three important characteristics to look for when hiring a real estate professional.

  1. Updated credentials: Typically, an agent starts as a Realtor. Then they can get further credentials, like a relocation certification to help people move nationwide. Agents might also be VA reps, meaning they have a lot of experience helping veterans move and navigate the VA loan process.

  2. Full-time versus part-time employment: You need a full-time agent. An agent who is working two or more jobs won’t have time to meet with vendors, go to showings, or look for homes for you. Full-time agents will be there whenever you need them, and they are working hard behind the scenes to make sure you have a successful transaction.
  3. Testimonials and reviews: You can simply click here to read testimonials about how I conduct my business. You should look for reviews from past clients, vendors, and other agents to get a clear idea of what it will be like to work with that agent.

Raise Money for a Great Cause at This Fun Event

Today, I want to take a step back and focus on something I'm very passionate about: charity events.

An upcoming event is called A Night to Remember, presented by the Women's Council of Realtors. The event will raise money to support women in real estate and the educational programs WCR offers them. Also, a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit Alzheimer's Orange County.

One of the things you’ll see at this event is the 6th Annual Fashion Show. Six men and six women, some of whom are industry professionals, will be walking the catwalk. In the audience, vendors will participate with sponsorships that are available.

The fashion show takes place Wednesday, May 11, 2016, from 5pm to 9pm. This is a great event because it’s a great opportunity to relax, enjoy the food and champagne, and participate in a lot of different auction events. With your $75 ticket purchase, you have a chance to win an auction weekend with Jaguar, where you and a friend can drive up the coast of Southern California.

There are a few great fashion sponsors that will be present at the event, including Jos. A. Bank for the men and White House Black Market for the women! It’s sure to be a fantastic time.

If you’re interested in learning more about this spectacular event, or if you have any real estate related questions of any kind, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I would love to hear from you!

Today, I want to briefly discuss a group that is very dear to my heart: the Veteran's Association of Real Estate Professionals (VAREP). These are professionals who help people who have served our country buy homes for the very first time.

There is an upcoming charity event that supports this organization called the Veteran’s Music Arts Festival. On Saturday, May 14, there will be an event where artists and music professionals come together to entertain our veterans and our families.

This family event is on Saturday, May 14, 2016, from 3pm to 7pm. The proceeds of this event will go to the Semper Fi Fund, Waves of Valor, and Veterans Lead Institute. These organizations will certainly benefit from the profits raised by the festival, so we highly recommend you spread the word about it!

The event is located at the Sun and Sail Club in Lake Forest, California. Three bands will be playing, including Who’s Next, Blue Jay Way, and No End. There will also be face painting, food, and beer and wine, among many other fun things to do.

To get tickets, head over to ocvma.com to purchase presale tickets, which are $12. If you wait to buy them at the door, they are $18. Feel free to contact me if you need more information about this event, or if you’re interested in sponsoring this event! I look forward to talking soon!
