Today, I want to briefly discuss a group that is very dear to my heart: the Veteran's Association of Real Estate Professionals (VAREP). These are professionals who help people who have served our country buy homes for the very first time.

There is an upcoming charity event that supports this organization called the Veteran’s Music Arts Festival. On Saturday, May 14, there will be an event where artists and music professionals come together to entertain our veterans and our families.

This family event is on Saturday, May 14, 2016, from 3pm to 7pm. The proceeds of this event will go to the Semper Fi Fund, Waves of Valor, and Veterans Lead Institute. These organizations will certainly benefit from the profits raised by the festival, so we highly recommend you spread the word about it!

The event is located at the Sun and Sail Club in Lake Forest, California. Three bands will be playing, including Who’s Next, Blue Jay Way, and No End. There will also be face painting, food, and beer and wine, among many other fun things to do.

To get tickets, head over to ocvma.com to purchase presale tickets, which are $12. If you wait to buy them at the door, they are $18. Feel free to contact me if you need more information about this event, or if you’re interested in sponsoring this event! I look forward to talking soon!

What’s Happening with Real Estate in Southern California?

Overall, real estate market conditions are very good in Southern California. In San Diego, we have 4,334 active listings, and in Orange County, we have 3,526 homes for sale. In OC, there are also 64 days on market, and 94 days on market in San Diego.

In San Diego, the price per square foot is $337, and $384 in Orange County. Last year at the same time, the median price in OC was $597k and now the average is at $618k.

What does this all mean? It means that now is a great time to sell in Southern California! Inventory is very low, and you can capitalize on this right now. Don’t wait until spring, either, because then everyone else will be trying to sell at the same time as you.
